Preetika Rajrariah
Preetika Rajgariah is a queer, Indian-born Texan; a visual artist who explores the complexities that arise when cultures intersect.
Through object making, video installation, & performance, she works to transform ideas around traditional, societal expectations of women. She enacts this decolonization & dismantling through her own body.
Rajgariah has attended residencies at the Oxbow School of Art, ACRE, Vermont Studio Center, & the School of Visual Arts. She’s exhibited at Roots & Culture in Chicago, Art League Houston, the Lawndale Art Center, and Women & Their Work in Texas. She received her MFA from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
She lives & works in Houston.
